8:00 AM Pick up from the hotel, departure to Chivay through the YURA area, observing the ashlar quarries (volcanic stone) with which the city was built, we enter the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca (Pampa Cañahuas), where we will appreciate the vicuñas, then we will have our first stop in the area called Patahuasi to be able to take a cup of coca tea which will help us acclimatize, we will continue with our tour observing the diverse landscape of the area to make the second stop in the town of Vizcachani, It is named after the presence of vizcachas.
Toqra is our next stop where we will observe various groups of llamas and alpacas that mix with the bofedales (small lagoons formed by thaws) which are home to a diversity of local and migratory birds. We will continue to border the crater of the extinct Chucura volcano, reaching the eternal ice of Pata pampa to continue for a few more minutes and reach the highest point of Arequipa 4910 mt known as the viewpoint of the Andes where we will appreciate the various snow-capped mountains and volcanoes of In the city of Arequipa, we will also appreciate the Yareta plant that grows over 4000 MT in height.
01:00 PM. We will continue to the town of Chivay 3400 meters above sea level where we will have lunch and settle in the hotel to have a short rest.
04:30 PM. We will visit the thermal medicinal baths of La Calera.
06:30 PM. We will return to the town for a free night (peña or disco.), Overnight at the hotel.
05:20 am Breakfast at the chosen Hotel
05:40 a.m. Departure to the viewpoint of the Cruz del Cóndor natural viewpoint where we can contemplate the king of the heights of the Andes, during the tour we will observe the beautiful terraces of the canyon that mixes with the vegetation and the typical characters of the area.
During the return to Chivay we will have some stops at the most outstanding points of the area such as the Mysterious Lagoons of Altahuilque, Litó model of Choquetico, Hanging Tombs of Choquetico, to enter the traditional town of Maca where we will visit the Church of Santa Ana de Maca a one of the most beautiful in the valley, we will be able to shop for souvenirs and take photos with the animals of the area. Yanque is the last town that we will visit. The most representative characters of the local Cultures and the Spanish Era resided there.
